Daulatdia brothel in Bangladesh is a purpose-built township that has been in operation for decades. Its two thousand sex workers service hundreds of clients each days amidst the most appalling conditions. Living with them are 1,000 desperately vulnerable children and without outside intervention their fate would be sealed. But just metres from the brothel exists a Save the Children-supported education hub that is changing the lives of the sex workers’ children, thanks to the support of many generous New Zealanders.
